We have a special interest in treating Rabbits at Vet Central Animal Hospital. Therefore, we have set up a special pocket animal consult room where these timid pets are not stressed in the waiting room and are taken to a comfortable part of the Hospital. The approach to handling and choice of medications are unique to these herbivorous pets and problems relating to their diet and health are addressed. We utilise special equipment and restraints for these pets and follow a very strict surgical protocol and recovery procedure. Our nurses are experienced in taking special care for these fur babies.

What Our Clients Say

Megan Bowen with Rocky Bradman and Ruby Alice

THE BEST VET WE HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED! Dr Jay and his team, especially Nurse Emily are the definition of people who were born to work with animals. Our rescue-dog Ruby-Alice was terrified of vets when she first walked through the doors of Vet Central. But Dr Jay has a very special way with animals and Ruby-Alice quickly gained trust in him. Today she eagerly bounces through the door excited to catch up with her favourite Dr and Nurse! Dr Jay is such a caring man and such a thorough doctor. I cannot recommend Dr Jay and his team more!

Seti Latu with Ace

I’ve been to many vets in the past within the inner west and elsewhere in Sydney. The thing that I’ve really appreciated most about Dr Jay is that he cares as much about the owner as well as the pet. We have been with Vet Central for 6 years now, and we’re certainly not going anywhere. Highly recommend this practice. Thanks Dr Jay!

Rekha with Oliver

I did a lot of research before I took my kitten here to be neutered. This place came highly recommended, and it did not disappoint. Prior to the actual day I had to take my kitten to the vet, the nurse that I spoke to on the phone was patient and a tonne of help. She helped set up the appointment and also thoroughly explained what I needed to do before bringing in Oliver. On the day, Dr. Jay was also patient and kind and helped me understand what caring for a cat in this country entailed. He was very gentle with Oliver (who’s a happy, friendly little guy anyway) and everything went very smoothly. I have spoken to at least three of the nurses, on the phone and they have always been helpful and patient. I am glad I chose Vet Central Animal Hospital for my fur child.
